Think of FlexPay the same as you do putting gas in your car. You pay for it before you use it. You can purchase small amounts every few days or “fill up the tank” and not worry about it for several weeks. When your supply is low, you simply purchase more. Purchasing before you use it allows you to control your budget and pay how much you want, when you want. Instead of a monthly billing statement, your usage and balance are calculated daily. Statistics indicate that similar programs often help lower the customer’s bill due to their awareness of usage patterns.
No. There is never a deposit with FlexPay. You simply make payments to your account to increase your balance to the level you desire.
No. With FlexPay instead of receiving a traditional paper bill, usage is calculated daily (based on your actual electric usage, estimated water/sewer usage, etc. and a FlexPay service fee) and deducted from your balance. On this plan, you never pay a late fee.
That is entirely up to you. The benefit of FlexPay is that you create the program to fit your budget. You can purchase enough credit to last a few days, a week or more.
When setting up your FlexPay account, we will customize ALERTS that will send you emails, text messages and even automated phone calls concerning your low balance. If your FlexPay account falls below zero, you will receive an ALERT notifying you that your account will be disconnected and the electricity will turn off. However, purchasing more is easy 24 hours a day and there are no late or reconnection fees. The electricity is generally restored within 45 minutes after you make a payment.
There are several ways you can check your FlexPay account balance.
You can call 855-837-6739 for 24 hour access to your balance and usage information.
You can access your account and usage information online through a secure website www.myusage.com. The website provides access to your current balance, current usage, detailed usage history, transaction history, manage alerts, etc.
You can set up FlexPay to email your current balance daily to you.
You can use the MyUsage app for iPhones.
Payments can be made:
- In person at the CUB office during normal business hours 8-5 Monday through Friday. Outside kiosk available 24/7.
- 24/7 either online at www.clintonub.com or by telephone 888-703-9195 with checking account or credit /debit card. A 2.25% convenience fee may apply.
- Pay using cash at many MoneyGram locations (Walmart, CVS). Hours vary and MoneyGram fees apply. Receive Code: 13252
- Pay cash, check or credit card at PaySite kiosk locations: PaySite convenience fees apply.
